"I'm just like you..."
iusedtocallmecobbs asked: well hey, thanks for reblogging my words. i love your work and the mission of capturing the boys of oceana (among others) in the very essence of their creative process is one you readily achieved and continue to achieve. i applaud ya.
I do what I can do when I can do it, your words are very much appreciated and inspiring to hear. Thanks so much.
Peace & Positive energy to you
And that’s what it’s all about.
for the past year and a half or so, the only thing the men of oceana have officially released in the form of musical output has been in the venue of blips and ambiences accompanying these videos. there’s been very little explanation as to the content they’re developing, but a lot of talk and excitement is in the air about the process. earlier we saw them pushing forward in their traditional setup, the four of them quite apparently feeling out their next step. there didn’t seem to be much structure or pressure. they knew something was ahead, and that this something was new and exciting and would be a cataclysmic result of careful patience and craft. something worth waiting for, silently and excitedly chipping away at the proverbial block to find the statue inside. we still don’t know what exactly it is that they’re doing, really, but the smiles and visual cues and added musicians and tapping toes and silent clips of them playing can only spark further interest. i love this band, yes, but what i love more than anything is watching artists explore and find their voice. to say it’s inspiring would be a massive understatement. i’m ready to search, i’m ready to find.
Consider it a foreshadowing #2012 (Taken with instagram)
Hello friends & followers,
I’ve decided to open an Etsy shop to share some art/prints with all of you. All funds will go back into creating & continuing to help others. [Why lie, some groceries would be nice too.]
